Description

AMOXON-CV Dry Syrup is a combination of two antibiotics: Amoxycillin and Clavulanic Acid. It is specially formulated for pediatric use and comes in a dry syrup form that is reconstituted with water before administration. This antibiotic combination is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections.

  • Amoxycillin is a penicillin-type antibiotic that fights bacteria.

  • Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that helps prevent certain bacteria from becoming resistant to amoxycillin.

  • Uses:

    AMOXON-CV Dry Syrup is commonly prescribed for children to treat infections such as:

    • Respiratory tract infections (such as pneumonia, bronchitis)

    • Ear infections (otitis media)

    • Sinus infections (sinusitis)

    • Urinary tract infections (UTIs)

    • Skin and soft tissue infections

    • Dental infections


    Dosage:

    Dosage should be determined by a pediatrician based on the child’s age, weight, and severity of infection. Always shake the bottle well before use and follow the prescribed dose schedule strictly.


    Side Effects:

    Common side effects may include:

    • Diarrhea

    • Nausea

    • Vomiting

    • Stomach pain

    • Rash or skin irritation

    Rare but serious side effects:

    • Allergic reactions (swelling, itching, difficulty breathing)

    • Severe diarrhea (Clostridium difficile infection)

    • Yellowing of eyes or skin (liver issues)


    Precautions:
